To properly use your .lu domain name, other services (DNS management, web or mail hosting, etc.) must be connected to it. Restena Foundation's registrar only offers a limited number of these services. When you choose Restena as your registrar, you will need to provide these yourself or use other providers.

You can also use another .lu accredited registrar that offers all the services that you need.

How do I know if my proposed domain name is available?

Search for your domain name (without .lu) in the domain name search on our website. The results will confirm whether the name is available or not. If it is available, you can register it by selecting the management that is best for you: classic management or online management. 

Do I have to register all of the domain names of the same holder with Restena's registry?

No. You are free to use the registry of your choice for each of your domain names. Each registry will manage holders in a completely autonomous and independent manner.

Can I use both classic management and online management for the domain names of the same holder.

No. You, or the holder, must choose one of these two management options.

I manage my domain names via an online registration platform but I would like to move to classic management. Is this possible?

No, unfortunately not. Only migration from classic management to online management is possible.
