A domain name is a functional identifier that is unique, understandable, and memorable to and by human beings. It enables technical information to be obtained, such as the IP address of websites or electronic mailboxes, by asking a names server (DNS server).
With this publication, the .lu registry raises awareness among current and future holders, and more generally their representatives, of the extent of their responsibility, the potential disputes that exist and the remedies available to all if the use of their domain name proves to be illegal.
